2.1x the Google Visibility and 11 Jobs Closed in 50 Days, With Zero Ad Spend

By Cameron Welther6 min read

Brink Design is a Rapid City, South Dakota integrator. The company installs security cameras, structured cabling, access control, commercial AV, and home theater systems across Rapid City and the Black Hills, and runs managed IT for local businesses. The owner founded it in 2023 and works with a small crew. Before we started, the old site had no clear way to request a quote and leads were not tracked anywhere.

The new website went live on July 28, 2026. This post compares the 50 days after launch (July 28 to September 15) with the seven weeks before it (June 9 to July 27). Same business, same season. The only thing that changed was the website.

Search numbers come from Google Search Console through September 15, 2026. Lead counts come from the Service Builds CRM. “Real prospects” excludes solicitors, a duplicate call, and one unqualified caller. Closed jobs and ticket size were reported by the owner on September 9, 2026. Leads from the last ten days are still being quoted and are not counted in booked work.

The leads were the right kind. Security camera installs, structured cabling, commercial AV for a business near Ellsworth Air Force Base, access control, TV mounting in Spearfish, a home theater walk-in in Piedmont. And they kept coming after the first wave: a structured cabling request and new commercial calls landed in the second week of September.

Ranking for the jobs that pay

The service-by-town pages are doing what they were built to do. Searches that used to find the business on page three now find it at the top of page one.

What we built

A page for every service in every town

Twenty services, every town in the Black Hills and western South Dakota. When someone in Spearfish searches for network management, they land on a page about network management in Spearfish, not a generic homepage. Google now shows the business for twice as many searches as before. Here is how that page structure works.

A site that gets to the point

Fast on a phone, one clear “request a consultation” path, and a tracked phone number on every page. In the first 40 days, visitors from Google stayed an average of a minute and a half, and roughly one in seven filled out the form.

Every lead in one place

Form submissions, phone calls, and walk-ins all land in a single pipeline with the caller’s name, service, and town. Solicitors and duplicates get flagged, and won jobs are tracked with their dollar value.

Return on the investment

  • Invested: $5,750. Fifty days on Growth Complete at $3,500 a month.
  • Booked work: $68,200. Eleven jobs at a $6,200 average.
  • Return: 11.9x. $11.90 back for every $1 in.

Ad spend was $0. Every lead came from Google search and the Google Business Profile. The return counts the full 50 days of fees but only the jobs closed from the first 40 days of leads, so it will move up as the September leads close.

What’s next

Google still confuses the company name with web design and architecture firms, which wastes a few hundred searches a month. The next round makes the business unmistakable (About page, credentials, a direct link to the Google profile) and sharpens the town pages for the questions facility managers and builders type in.
