Social Media Marketing and Paid Social for AV Integrators
Paid social buys attention from people who were not looking for you. Whether that attention turns into installs is decided after the click, on your site, in the first few minutes. That second half is the part we build.
Book a strategy callPart of the AV Marketing for Integrators: Every Channel, in the Order That Pays system.
Paid social is the fastest way to put your work in front of someone who was not searching for it. That is the whole trick and the whole problem. A homeowner scrolling Instagram at 9 p.m. is not shopping for a home theater. Show that person a fifteen-second clip of a hidden in-wall install in a house that looks like theirs, and a small fraction of them suddenly want one. Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn all sell that moment of interruption, priced by the thousand impressions.
It works, and it also burns money faster than any other channel in the AV marketing stack, because the click is the cheap part. Most integrators lose after the click: the ad sends a curious homeowner to a site with one services page and a seven-field form, nobody replies for six hours, and a paid visit becomes nothing. We build the part that comes after the click. We do not sell paid social on its own, and we will not take an ad budget from someone whose site cannot convert it. Inside a full engagement, once the destination is built, running the campaigns is on the table. This page is going to be direct about where that line sits.
How the system works
Four systems that run while you’re on the job site.
01
What a paid social campaign actually is
You pick an audience, you pay per thousand impressions, and you interrupt them with creative. On Meta that means Facebook and Instagram feed, Reels, and Stories. On LinkedIn it means a feed unit aimed at job titles. Nobody in that audience asked to see you, so the creative carries the entire result. For AV, what performs is footage of your own work: a rack reveal, a shade drop, a theater scene change, shot on a phone. Stock photography and a logo will not stop a thumb.
02
Who you can actually target
Meta lets you draw a radius around the neighborhoods you serve and layer on rough proxies for the buyer you want: homeownership, income bands, interests like smart home and luxury renovation. It is directional, not surgical. LinkedIn is the opposite trade: much more expensive per click, but you can put a conference room AV offer in front of facilities directors and office managers at companies of a given size in your metro. Residential integrators usually belong on Meta. Commercial integrators are the ones whose ticket size can justify LinkedIn pricing.
03
Remarketing is the part worth paying for
The cheapest audience you will ever buy is people who already visited your site. A pixel on every page lets you show a second ad to the homeowner who read your home theater page and left without calling. The intent is already there, the audience is small, and cost per result is usually a fraction of cold prospecting. None of it exists unless the site is instrumented, which is where most integrator ad accounts fall apart before they start.
04
What we build: the place the click lands
This is our half. Service and area pages that deliver what the ad promised, a chat concierge that answers the 9 p.m. scroller in their own words, lead routing that texts you in seconds, and the Meta Pixel plus Conversions API wired in at launch so the ad platform gets clean conversion signal back to optimize against. We build the destination and the follow-up first, because that is the half that decides whether the media budget returns anything. Campaign management is not something we sell on its own, but for clients on a full engagement it is a conversation we will have once the destination is live.
What it fixes
You boosted posts for a year and got followers, not jobs.
The boost button optimizes for engagement, because engagement is the cheapest thing to produce. Likes from people two states away are not a pipeline, and no amount of budget converts them into one.
How we fix it: Traffic only pays when the destination converts and someone follows up fast. We build that conversion path, whoever ends up running your campaigns.
The creative is a stock living room and a phone number.
Nobody stops scrolling for a photo they have seen on four other websites. Your real installs outperform anything a designer can mock up, but most integrators have no organized library and nowhere credible to send the click.
How we fix it: Every build starts by collecting your install photography and putting it on service pages that give the creative somewhere real to point.
The ad drove the visit and nothing captured it.
A cold visitor from Instagram at 9 p.m. is not completing a contact form and waiting until morning. They look, they leave, and with no pixel on the site you cannot even buy a second impression to win them back.
How we fix it: Concierge capture, instant routing, and pixel plus Conversions API instrumentation, so the visit becomes a conversation or at minimum an audience you can reach again.

Common questions
Do you run Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn ads for us?
Not as a standalone service. What we build is owned infrastructure: the site, programmatic local SEO, the chat concierge, lead routing, and the review pipeline. For clients already on a full engagement, where the destination and the tracking are ours and working, we will talk about taking on the campaigns too. What we will not do is take an ad budget from someone whose site is not ready for it, because that spend has nowhere to land.
What does paid social cost for a company my size?
Local trades budgets commonly start in the low four figures per month before there is enough data to optimize against, plus creative production and whoever manages the account. Cost per lead swings hard by market, offer, and creative quality, so treat any figure you are quoted as a guess until you have run thirty days of your own. One rule holds everywhere: if your close rate on ad leads is weak, more budget makes the leak bigger, not smaller.
Facebook and Instagram, or LinkedIn?
Residential work goes on Meta. You are looking for homeowners in specific neighborhoods and the targeting plus the cost structure fit that. Commercial and conference room work is the case for LinkedIn, where you can target job titles and company size directly and the higher cost per click is defensible against a six-figure integration. Running LinkedIn for residential home theater is how integrators spend a lot of money reaching people at work.
Should I run ads while the site is being rebuilt?
You can, and sometimes you should. If next month looks slow and you need work now, ads are the fastest lever that exists. Keep the budget small, accept the conversion rate your current site gives you, and treat it as a tourniquet. The reason we push infrastructure first is arithmetic: raising your conversion rate improves the return on every media dollar you spend from then on, and it keeps working on the months you spend nothing.
Who should run the campaigns then?
Either someone in-house who owns it every week, or a media buyer who specializes in local home services. When you interview one, ask what they will do in the first thirty days, ask to see the account structure of a current client, and refuse any arrangement where you do not hold admin on your own ad account and pixel. We do not have a referral relationship with a specific shop and we are not going to pretend otherwise, so ask us on the call and we will tell you honestly whether this is something we would take on for you or something you should hire out.
Our ads already work. Is there anything here for us?
Possibly, and it is measurable rather than a matter of opinion. Write down your current cost per booked call, then look at what happens between the click and the callback. If the concierge and instant routing lift booked calls per hundred visitors at all, that lift applies to spend you were making anyway. If you are already at capacity and turning down work, buy a van and a technician instead of anything on this page.
