Privacy Policy
Effective May 19, 2026. Last updated June 3, 2026.
This policy explains what Service Builds HQ collects when you visit servicebuildshq.com or book a call, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We try to keep it plain. If anything is unclear, email cameron@servicebuildshq.com and we will answer.
Who runs this site
Service Builds HQ is a sole-proprietorship marketing agency based in California, operated by Cameron Welther. For the purposes of this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Service Builds HQ.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you book a call through our booking page, our scheduling provider (Cal.com) collects your name, email address, the time slot you choose, and any notes you add to the booking form. If you reply to a confirmation or follow-up email, that reply lands in our inbox. If you email us directly, we get whatever you put in the email.
Information collected automatically.Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) logs basic request data when you load a page: IP address, user agent, referring URL, and timestamps. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and performance monitoring. We also run a small number of analytics and advertising-measurement tools so we can tell which pages are working and whether advertising spend is producing real bookings: Plausible Analytics (cookie-free, aggregated, no individual user tracking), Google Analytics (GA4), and the Meta Pixel together with Meta’s Conversions API. The Meta tools measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and let us build audiences for retargeting. The pixel loads in your browser when you visit the site and reports basic events (page views, time on page, scroll depth) to Meta. When you book a call, we also send the conversion event to Meta server-side via the Conversions API, which includes your email address and (if provided) phone number in hashed (one-way encrypted) form so Meta can match the conversion to your Facebook or Instagram account for ad attribution without us sharing your raw contact information.
Cookies and similar technologies. Plausible Analytics does not set cookies. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies on your device to recognize return visits and power conversion measurement; you can opt out using Google’s opt-out tool. The Meta Pixel sets first-party cookies named _fbp (set on every visit, used to identify your browser to Meta) and _fbc(set only when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad link, used to attribute the click). You can manage Meta’s use of your data and opt out of personalized advertising in your Meta Accounts Center ad preferences, and you can prevent the pixel from loading with browser tracking-protection tools or by clearing cookies for this site. The Cal.com embed on the booking page may also set cookies that Cal.com needs to run its scheduler; their cookie practices are described in Cal.com’s own privacy policy, linked below.
How we use it
- To confirm your booking and send the confirmation email.
- To prepare for the call (we review the URL or business name you share so the conversation is useful).
- To follow up after the call. If we agreed on a next step, we will email you about it. If we did not, we will not.
- To run and maintain the site (hosting logs, error monitoring).
- To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not buy contact lists.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services to run the site and the booking flow. Each one only sees the data it needs:
- Cal.com : handles scheduling, the calendar embed, and the calendar invite. Sees your name, email, booking time, and anything you put in the booking form. Cal.com privacy policy.
- Resend : sends our confirmation and follow-up email. Sees the email address we send to and the content of the email. Resend privacy policy.
- Vercel : hosts the site and serves the pages. Sees the request logs described above. Vercel privacy policy.
- Google Workspace : we read and send email through Google. Conversations you start with us live in Gmail. Google privacy policy.
- Plausible Analytics : aggregated page view and event data so we know which pages are working. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no individual identifiers. Plausible privacy policy.
- Google Analytics (GA4) : conversion measurement to tell whether advertising spend produces real bookings. Sets first-party cookies on your device. Same Google privacy policy linked above.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) : the Meta Pixel and Conversions API measure the performance of advertising we run on Facebook and Instagram and let us build retargeting audiences. Browser-side, the pixel sees page views and engagement events. Server-side, when you complete a booking, we send Meta a conversion event that includes your hashed email and (if provided) hashed phone number, your IP address, your user agent, and the pixel cookies described above. Meta privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to investigate suspected fraud or threats to the safety of any person.
How long we keep it
Booking records and email threads are kept as long as they are useful for the relationship, typically up to three years. After that, we delete them on request or as part of routine cleanup. Hosting access logs roll off on Vercel’s standard retention schedule.
Your rights
You can email us at cameron@servicebuildshq.com to:
- Ask what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete it.
- Opt out of any further follow-up email at any time.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you these rights explicitly, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you equivalent rights. The lawful basis for our processing is legitimate interest (running the booking flow you initiated) and consent (the email you sent us).
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Sensitive credentials live in encrypted environment variables on Vercel. The third-party services above run their own security programs. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not promise one. We will tell you promptly if we ever learn of an incident that affects your information.
Children
The site is intended for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you are a parent and believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, send a notice to people who have an active booking with us. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
